Nursery
Welcome to Nursery!
We have two classrooms in our Nursery unit but during free flow the adjoining door is open to allow us all to take part in activities in one big space.
During the day we take part in active learning experiences which support and challenge us all in a rich and varied environment.
Our teachers provide well-planned play activities, both indoors and outdoors, to encourage us to think creatively and imaginatively, and communicate with others.
The teachers plan our curriculum experiences in the Early Years Foundation Stage around seven areas of learning:
Personal, Social and Emotional Development
Communication and Language
Physical Development
Mathematics
Understanding the World
Expressive Arts and Design
Literacy
Our nursery sessions are 9.15am-11.45am or 1.00pm-3.30pm
Your child is also entitled to one full day a week at Nursery and can bring a packed lunch.
Your child will be supervised by a dinner lady.
A full day session is 9.15am-3.30pm (this will be allocated to you when your child starts)
We open Nursery early on both sessions for 'stay and play' this is a chance for you to come into school before Nursery starts and write with your child.
Stay and play is at 9.05am-9.15 & 12.50- 1.00pm
However, we do ask that parents stay until 9.15am or 1.00pm when the session starts.
Our Teachers are
Mrs Uredi & Mrs Collins
Miss Kaur & Mrs Fisher
Mrs Begum & Mrs Paddock are our dinner ladies.
Your child will need a spare change of clothing in a named bag - we do lots of messy play, and of course if your child has a toileting accident this means that we can change them into their own clothes.
Wednesday is Library day- instead of writing during stay and play you can change your child's library book with them. You can purchase a library bag from the office.
We have so much fun!
