Our School Library Bus

Open after school Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Mrs Cashmore Clifton is our school librarian and can support you to find appropriate books and provide reading strategies and support.   

At Delves we are very lucky to have our very own library on a bus. We have worked hard to create a reading zone that will encourage, motivate and excite children to read. As well as it being an wonderful environment we also provided a wide range of texts to engage children with a variety of interests. We have fiction, non -fiction, traditional tales, modern best sellers and much more. Our book range is always being added to and we take pride in the fact children want to visit the bus to read for their pleasure.

Every child has their very own library pass which they can use to take out two books at a time. They have the opportunity to visit the bus at least once a week with their teacher or learning support assistant and they can also go on the bus after school with their parent or guardian to share stories or choose new books to read at home.

Also look out on the school newsletter for our after school story sessions on the bus, where you can listen to teachers share their favourite stories. 

Furthermore in some books there is a golden ticket, if children take home a book and find the golden ticket they win their very own book to keep. Good luck!
