Pastoral Team

By appointing a pastoral team, our school is acknowledging the vital role parents have to play in the education of their children. A major part of their role is to develop the partnership between parents and school. 

Below are some of the ways in which the team seeks to develop this partnership:

Supporting your child’s education
 

• Providing a point of contact between parents and school

• Providing one to one support, where possible, to parents with particular questions or concerns about their child’s education

• Enabling parents to gain a better understanding of the school curriculum through leaflets, information on useful websites and through courses and workshops.

• Supporting parents who may be facing other issues that may affect their child’s education, e.g. family breakdown, bereavement, financial difficulties, behaviour issues.

Supporting Individuals, and Families  

• Supporting parents or other family members who wish to improve their own education or employment prospects, by providing information, signposting to training or providing courses.
