• Changes to Key worker provision

  Tue 09 Jun 2020

  Information for Key Worker Parents

From Monday 15^th June there will be a change which involves the widening of our opening arrangements to include some children from year 1 and reception.  From this point there will be a move away from ‘care’ and a return to education.  This will mean that where previously key worker parents could book occasional days for care, the expectation will be that children returning to school will attend every day.  This will allow lessons to resume more formally.  Initially parents will need to continue to send lunches from home for children as the kitchen will not reopen at this point.

If your child has not yet attended key worker provision and you would like to register them from 15th June please email the school providing evidence of your key worker status (photo id or payslip) and you will receive confirmation of your child's place.

Further details about the organisation of this provision are available in the Operational Plan for re-opening.

• Further clarification on care for children of key workers

Thu 19 Mar 2020 Mrs Arnold

With regards to care for children following the closure of schools, advice regarding key workers is varied.  Initially we will ensure care is available for families with 2 key workers and for vulnerable children, when we are clear on numbers involved if we have enough staff to accommodate families with one key worker parent we will arrange this at the earliest opportunity. This may mean that not all children who need it can access care in school from Monday but we are trying to react as quickly as possible to a very difficult situation.

• School closure begins Monday 23rd March 2020

We understand many of you will have questions about what is to come; please be assured we be passing on all information to you as soon as we have it. We will do this via email, school website and Marvellous Me. Please check regularly for updates.
